If you're looking for unusual dinosaurs this one should DEFINITELY be on your list!

It is currently the largest Theropod dinosaur of the early Jurassic period and fossils have been found 400 miles from the South Pole (in the Jurassic period Antarctica was quite bit further north so it probably lived in a temperate climate) .... they didn't need snowshoes!

They were quite slim but were still probably a top predator in their world

We love that this dinosaur comes from Antarctica, but most of all we love its very groovy head crest ... which runs up the nose and then fans out like a high Spanish comb - it is very different to other crests

PLEASE NOTE: this dinosaur is not as pale as it appears in the image ... it is more of a stone grey
