We're BIG fans of sharks - they've been around since the Devonian Period (that's 350 million years or so!) which is earlier than the earliest dinosaurs AND they're still swimming the oceans NOW … R.E.S.P.E.C.T!)
Unfortunately, because sharks skeletons are cartilaginous they did not fossilize well and there are really only fossilized teeth available to be added to a collection (but luckily they are quite plentiful and make a great displays)
These particular teeth are on matrix and from a Otodus Shark they are around 70 million years old
