Hands up if you have paddled in the sea as the tide went out to try to see Dinosaur footprints - apparently those of you in other parts of the country can do this AND keep your feet dry!

There is something a bit magical about footprints because the Dinosaurs made them when they were alive and just 'doing their thing' where they lived 

So, if you are looking for a special fossil and talking point ... look no further

There are two prints on this sandstone block which have been left by a bipedal Dinosaur (seen right to left across the top third)

Burniston, North Yorkshire

Jurassic, Saltwick Formation

170 million years old approx

Ornithopod dinsaur approx 3ft tall
