We love this handpainted model of the teeny tiny Microraptor - probably the smallest dinosaur that ever lived

Microraptor lived in the early cretaceous period and is famed for being a four winged dinosaur, with each wing showing long flight feathers - research on these fossilised feather remains suggest that Microraptor had black, irridescent feathers (like a starling)

It is not clear whether Microraptor could actually fly or it used a controlled gliding system - a bit more work or a special fossil discovery needed
